The IAB appoints one member to the ICANN RZERC on behalf of the IETF. It is a one-year renewable term, limited to four years total. The IAB will send a call for nominations at least every two years, regardless of whether the incumbent is willing to continue.

The IAB appoints one voting delegate to the ICANN NomCom on behalf of the IETF. The delegate shall serve a two-year term. No individual may serve as a delegate for more than two terms. In addition, no individual may serve in consecutive terms, regardless of the entity selecting them to the Nominating Committee. An individual will only be eligible to serve a second term as a delegate on the Nominating committee if a minimum of two years has elapsed between the end of their first term and the beginning of the term for which they are being selected.

The IAB appoints these two technical experts to the ICANN TLG on behalf of the IETF. The IAB has not committed itself to a particular process for selection, and ICANN Bylaws do not impose any constraints on this process.
The IAB will check in with the appointees to the TLG each year to determine whether they are willing to continue to be listed as the appointees. The TLG has been dormant or several years and is not expected to be revived.
